some jehovah`s witness are a lot of trouble.....especially family members..... regardless of how you try to avoid them,they are always causing trouble in your life and with your family..the grief is endless..it literally goes on for years,then decades..untill they die.....then all of a sudden there is peace in your life..the trouble is gone!...........were you ever happy a jehovah`s witness was dead?..or..permanently out of your life?.

I don't think I would be alone in believing that if all of jws, everywhere, were to drop dead at any given time - then mankind would be all the better for it.
There is the death of one for which I await with eager anticipation.

do they feel intimidated by the fact that ex-jw's know all about the way they function as an organization?
(well except what happens at the "back room" and at gb decision making meetings)..... is it because they can still "catch" worldlies?.
...or is it because ex-jw's could poison those still in "the truth"?.
Worldy people at least have some chance for salvation (jw-style), whereas former jws, especially those who have willingly renounced 'the faith' are beyond hope. Count me in as one of those without hope. Gladly.

i don't get this...my mum pioneered for 25 years and in the last few years she at 69 is claiming to be anionted and taking emblems.....well you should see the back stabbing!
some claim she isn't since she doesn't work at bethel or contribute to the litrature???

what i found that upset elders more than most things was, when you made them verify their statement with scriptural backing.. when you showed their complete lack of common sense coupled with lack of christian knowledge.. on one occasion when having a heated discussion, i constantly made them refer to the org.
book for the answer, they ridiculed me, saying "are you getting your little green book out again".. all i was trying to point out was the answer (according to the society) on the subject at hand, most organisation will have some sort of code of conduct, the little green book was theirs.. they wanted to be right in all things even if it meant going against the org.. kt.

It could be any number of things I did that could be mentioned, but basically anything that went against 'procedure' would be sure to upset them.
I am not one to bow to authority, but one memorable occasion was when during a particularly hot evening I removed my jacket and proceded to deliver the number 1 talk in the ms wearing a short sleeved shirt. The shock! The horror! For the reaction I got from the wise men, I may as well bared my arse and wriggled my old fella at the congregation. Stuff'em!
By this time my enthusiasm for continuing my relationship with a make believe 'father' was waning considerably.

World Book Dictionary defines apostasy as 'forsaking one's religion.' Something I am pleased to have done in regards the jws.

i know for many of the 44 years i was in the jw cult from birth - i felt i could.
or should i say i was conditioned to feel that " i should " trust the elders.
as jehovah's witnesses we were all told the elders were " crags in a waterless country " who would be a " spiritual stronghold " for us.
Trust an elder? Oh yeah. This needs to be in the humourous section.
The elders I knew could certainly be trusted - to be sly, backstabbing, meddling, bad company - just to mention a few of their traits.
A little ditty I used to sing to myself about the elders (expletives removed) -

in my relationships and dealing with jehovah's witnesses over the past few years i have come to learn one thing, the belief of who jesus is is the centre of the problem.
i was led to these verses after a couple of aging witnesses left my house after much debate, which once again proved fruitless :(.

I couldn't do a cut and paste, but a topic I started in 2003 queried the wherabouts of D. Madzay and it seems that he died some years ago. He is one of the very few jws that I remember.
